This is my brother now.
He's all grown up! And I'm not really sure how that happened; in my mind he should still be about 15. It doesn't seem like that long ago when we would jump on the gold couch, or when he would steal my stuffed animals from my room, or when I would steal his uneaten treats from his tee ball games. Oh the many hours we spent watching Eric play tee ball, . . . and baseball, . . . and basketball, . . . and flag football, . . . and soccer! One of the saddest days of my life was when Eric totally kicked my butt at soccer - he was 5 or so, and I was 12. He had short legs at that point, but dang he was really fast! Maybe a year or so later, Eric challenged me to a basketball game; I was a couple feet taller and feeling somewhat confident, I accepted his challenge. Once the score reached 30 to 7 or so in favor of my brother, I got mad and in my shame I vowed to never play any sport-related game with him ever again. By the time he was 13, that vow extended to video games as well - there are only so many times a person can handle being shot on Medal of Honor without ever spotting the opponent. . . stupid game!
On Wednesday Eric is leaving for two years to serve an LDS mission to Spokane, Washington. Eric and I are about 6.5 years apart and have never been super close - he always had his thing and I had mine - but I can honestly say that I'm really going to miss him! Over the last couple years we have started to talk more, and I have loved it! Eric has always been rather quite, he doesn't really like a big show, and while there is so much more I could say about my brother, I'm not sure he would appreciate it. So I will end with this: I love my little brother and I think he will be an awesome missionary!! Good luck Elder Sharp!!
Happy photographing!
